I've had a crush on my extremely cute & flirty neighbor niki for sooo long. Unfortunately she has had a boyfriend the entire time. I hadn't seen her for a few months but saw him and figured that they broke up, she moved away & I would never see her again.
I just saw her as I was coming in my building and we talked briefly, just as flirtatiously as ever. She mentioned that she was single and living on her own near by, asked how my "art career" was going & like a complete idiot I said, "der bye.. see youz around sumtime, ehyuck!." I didn't really say it like that but that's exactly how I felt when walked inside my apt. & realized that I just, like an oblivious ass, missed the opportunity that I had been waiting nearly 4 years for.... I quickly ran outside but she was driving off as I got out the door... =(

i've lost count of how many times my shyness and insecurity to be honest has prevented me from being with a crush. no joke, my new years resolution is to stop being such a chicken. oh and to stop meeting assholes but that's a whole other story.
